They charge a once-yearly service fee of $43. Tuition is a yearly commitment. This monthly payment plan is for the convenience of families who would prefer to make payments, but this plan is not meant to suggest that payments correspond to a month-to-month enrollment. FAMILY SERVICE HOURS: The Family Service Hour program is an integral part of the school’s financial structure and the basic obligation of $400 (40 hours of service at $10.00 per hour per family) may be fulfilled in one of two ways: 1. $400 paid in full by May 22, 2011 , or 2. Fulfillment of 40 volunteer hours – Half to be completed by January 31, 2011 and the remaining hours to be completed by May 22, 2011. A record of monthly volunteer hours worked will be recorded and sent home. Any unserved hours will be billed at the rate of $10 per hour before the 2011 - 2012 school year registration. SCRIP: This program gives the school a percentage of your regular purchases, such as groceries and dining out. The school requires every family to register their Ralphs and Vons card and designate Good Shepherd as the recipient. The school receives quarterly reports from these markets with your contributions. In addition, each family is required to purchase gift cards through the Great Lakes Scrip Program. A record will be kept of your purchases and an adjustment to your fundraising fee will be considered if you make several purchases. LATE FEES: When payments are late it takes more time trying to collect this money. This costs the school extra money in hours spent calling parents about their obligations. If you sign up with the SMART monthly payment plan they will charge a $45 late fee if your payment does not go through at your bank and an ADDITIONAL $40 in NSF fees. To avoid this, please pay your tuition and fees on time. Thank you for your cooperation.
