EXPULSION FROM SCHOOL
The following offenses committed by children while under the jurisdiction of Good Shepherd Catholic School are grounds for expulsion:
- Actions gravely detrimental to the moral and spiritual welfare of other pupils
- Continued willful disobedience
- Open, persistent defiance of the authority of a teacher
- Habitual profanity or vulgarity
- Smoking or possession of tobacco
- Use, sale or possession of narcotics
- Willfully cutting, defacing, or otherwise damaging school property. Replacement of
materials will be the responsibility of the person committing the offense
- Stealing
- Use, sale, distribution or possession of any alcoholic beverage on or near school premises
- Assault or battery or any threat of force or violence directed towards any school personnel
or student
- Habitual truancy
- Possession of harmful weapons or materials that can be used as weapons
- Leaving the school grounds before, during or after school hours without permission
- Repeated cheating
- Belonging to or associating with a gang or hate group or participation in gang activity
- Forging signatures
- Deliberate defamation of the school, school personnel or students on any website or blog
