HEALTH AND SAFETY
Illness Occurring During School: If a student becomes ill during the day, parents will be
called and arrangements made to take the student home. It is essential that current
emergency numbers where parents may be reached be on file in the school office
Insurance: Accident insurance is made available through the Archdiocese and the fee is
included in the Registration Fee. Any accident occurring on the school grounds must be
reported immediately to personnel in the school office. A copy of the insurance certificate
will be sent to all parents in the first Family Envelope.
Lunch: The school has made arrangements with the Great American Lunchbox to provide
lunches from Tuesday through Thursday. This is an optional program and carries an
additional cost. The company provides a menu and orders are taken online, by phone or by
mail. The 7th grade has a pizza fundraiser lunch on Mondays.
Students may also bring their lunches to school. A paper towel or small towel is required to
be used as a placemat on the lunch tables. Students will NOT call home for forgotten lunches
nor should parents deliver any lunches to the classroom after the school day has begun. All
deliveries should be made to the office. Students may inquire at their regular break time to
see if a delivery has been made. No student may leave campus during the day for lunch.
They may not order lunch by phone to be delivered.
Emergency Card: An emergency card is given to each family at the time of registration. The
information must be kept current. Please notify the school office immediately if either
an address or phone number has changed. All information on the emergency cards is
strictly confidential and is limited to school use only. A child may be released ONLY to those
persons listed on the emergency card.
