Catholic Schools Week
Make sure you attend Mass this weekend at Good Shepherd Church to kick off Catholic Schools Week. All students who attend Mass will receive a Free Dress Pass for Monday. Don’t forget to visit the SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBIT “Looking to the Extraordinary in the Commonplace: Good Shepherd in Focus” in the Parish Hall after all masses this Saturday and Sunday.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 28th
Mass @ 5:30pm Students from Grades 3 and 8 will be participating with the readings, in the offertory procession and as ushers. Selected students will read their essays.

  • Basketball Game @ 2:00 pm vs. Notre Dame at St. Monica High School, Santa Monica
  • SUNDAY, JANUARY 29th

  • Mass @ 8:30am Students from Grades 1 and 6 will be participating with the readings, in the offertory procession and as ushers. Selected students will read their essays.
  • Mass @ 10:30 am Students from Grades 2 and 7
  • Mass @ 12:30 pm Students from Grades Pre K and 4 and the Junior Choir
  • Mass @ 5:30 pm Students from Grade 5 and Kindergarten
  • Basketball Game @ 5:00pm. vs. St. Anne at Serra High School, Gardena

    MONDAY, JANUARY 30th

  • Catholic Schools Week – Fire Dept. will visit school @1:30 pm
  • Students will create gift baskets for library, post office, police station, fire station and church. Students need to b ring a pre-packaged food item for the baskets.
  • ACE Enrichment Young Ninjas @ 3;15-4:15 in O’Ryan Hall
  • ACE Enrichment Hip Hop @ 3:15-4:15 in Kindergarten room
  • Irish Dancing @ 3:15-4:15 in 4th Grade Room
  • TUESDAY, JANUARY 31st

  • Catholic Schools Week – Students will have free dress and extra recess
  • School Spelling Bee 9:30amfor K-3 and 10:00am for Grades 4-8
  • After Lunch Special – Movie and Popcorn – No Homework Today
  • School Tours @ 1:30 pm.
  • ACE Enrichment Be-Jeweled @ 3:15-4:15 in 2nd Grade Room
  • WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1st

  • Catholic Schools Week – Beverly Hills Mayor Barry Brucker will visit school at 8:00am. Students will sing school song and he will speak with K-3 from 8:15am-8:45am and Grades 4-8 from 8:45am-9:45am in O’Ryan Hall
  • Catholic Schools Week – K-9 Team will visit school @ 10:00 am
  • School Mass @11:00am hosted by 5th Grade
  • ACE Enrichment Chess Workshop @ 3:15pm-4:15pm in 3rd Grade room
  • ACE Enrichment Musical Theatre Disney @ 3:15pm-4:15pm in O’Ryan Hall
  • THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd

  • Parents are invited to school at 12:00pm to enjoy lunch with the ir children (Bring a lunch or order from Chef Traynor). Bring a blanket to sit on the school yard
  • ACE Enrichment Professor Egghead Detectives @ 3:15pm-4:15pm in 5th Grade room
  • OPEN HOUSE 6:00 – 7:00 pm
  • FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3rd

  • Student Council will prepare a special treat for the teachers
  • 7th Grade will sell ice cream for $1.00 at end of day
  • Spirit Day – All Students should wear Spirit shirts, jeans (no holes) black shoes.
  • Martha’s Kitchen 7th and 8th Grade Service Project 8:15 am
  • Early dismissal every Friday @ 12:30 pm
  • SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4th
    Boys Basketball Game vs. St. Martin of Tours @ St. Monica High School, Santa Monica @ 6:00 pm.

    VIRTUS AND FINGERPRINTING
    All parents/guardians must be Virtus trained if they want to volunteer at school in any capacity and they should be fingerprinted as well. (Further information regarding upcoming dates are posted on parent the bullitin board outside the office)

    Please provide the office with a copy of your Virtus Certification and/or Fingerprinting form.
